Hi there i have a definite plan for my raw transformation in 2008.
1) tackle my sleep patterns, learn to keep to set bedtimes & waking times...if Im fatigued nothing happens as i hope it will
2) regular exercise, meditation, vision boarding & journalling. I know from my brief time fully raw in 2007 that detox is on so many levels for me that i need to be fully supporting my self in many areas before I go fully raw.
3) 100% vegan from Jan 1st & increasing my raw content as feels comforatable re detox - I had fierce detox last time & I want it to be a calmer, milder experience this time so I dont become overwhelmed & unable to function on a daily basis ;)
4) key words are CONSISTENCY...finally walk away from my all or nothing attitude & CONSIDERATION towards myself...no more negative self talk :D

Happy new year to everyone

My goals are to:

stay raw for the WHOLE YEAR
lose the last tiny bit of weight I am hanging on to (10 lbs)
stick to our financial budget
learn to CALM DOWN-we are a big busy family and even when nothing is going on I am going at top speed, then I crash and burn and am out of commission for 24-48 hours. I need to find more balance.

My New Year's Resolutions are:

~ Start each day in prayer & the Bible, first alone, then with Hannah (my 12 year old.)

~ Stay on an early morning schedule, in bed by 10 (11 at the latest!) up by 6 (7 at the latest!) {This has been a major challenge, I've been a total night owl all my life!!! But this is my 3rd day so far!!!}

~ Get Allisa's book & DVD ASAP!!!

~ Start ordering regularily from our organic co-op! (Budget & plan for it!!!)

~ Stay Raw this entire year, charting my progress with journalling, measurements & pics (& hopefully keeping a video diary of the progress.)

~ Do some form of exercise daily, with my goal being a minimum of 1 hour, but respecting my FM, (until it's GONE!) & pacing myself, not overdoing it, & not only increasing my cardio fitness level, but also my overall strength!

~ Get totally organized & disciplined with homeschooling Hannah, & include gym class daily! (As well as Raw Recipe Home-Ec class at least once a week!)

I'm working on transitioning from a SAD diet to a vegetarian/raw diet. My plan is to be 100% by the end of the year. Then we'll take it from there.

I've started a blog, mostly as a personal tool to help keep track of my progress.

Good luck everyone! I know we can succeed!

Glad I was able to make the change to my signature...am thinking i may have to update it again soon to sound like something I have already achieved??? Im new to affirmations & I think I have to claim it as already having happened? Every day I am affirming that I am vibrantly healthy & slim.... maybe I need to be more specific? Any thoughts?

I also need to work out a new budget & stick to it so i can afford fresh produce weekly...will help to keep me on the right food path

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I went completely vegan in 2007 with only a few slip ups. I find the vegan diet very easy to follow. Well, this year I am attempting to eat more raw foods. I already eat plenty of raw fruits and vegetables, but I want eat more sprouts, etc. I think giving up the bread will be the hardest thing to do, so I am looking for a good bread substitute. And what about rice? That will be a tough one too. I ate raw whole oats this morning for breakfast with an apple and it was really good. Well, wish me luck in the coming year, and good luck to everyone else on keeping your New Years resolutions!:D
