Hi Everyone,

I went 3 weeks without any morning sickness figuring I was in the clear.. ha ha ha ha ha ha.. oh man...
6 weeks into my pregnancy I am hit with it! All week I have felt tons of nausea and I have tried many things to sooth my tummy. I went to a pharmacist and asked if they had any herbal stuff I could try and he told me Gravol. On the back of a Gravol box it says do not take if your pregnant or breast feeding.
I had an HG pregnancy with my first child and towards the end I did end up being put on Gravol by my family doctor but being in the first trimester now I don't want to risk it.
I tried the "placebo" affect by tricking my mind that the nausea isn't really there. My toilet has become a friend to me
I want to stay raw really bad but nothing raw has helped. I am not eating nor drinking very well (as in my blog) and I am slightly concerned about my limited options.
Any advice for a raw pregnant momma? Thanks friends.

i didn't have any morning sickness with my daughter, but my awesome obstetrician recommends these: http://www.sea-band.com/seaband.htm

the band presses on an accupressure point on your wrist that helps with nausea.

ginger is also excellent for any kind of nausea. i slice up some fresh ginger root in to some water and stir in some agave and lemon juice and leave it in the fridge overnight. it gets very ginger-y. i wonder how you'd do with something like that?

good luck kiddo.

What about drinking Yogi's Stomach Ease tea? It helps me when I am nauseous.

Ginger is great and certainly worth a try. I am 27 weeks pregnant, I remember those first weeks and my stomach ties in knots just thinking about it - I craved junk SO badly. It was the worst time.
I hope things improve for you soon & that you have a wonderful pregnancy! :)

did you know that the more morning sickness you get the better your chances are of not having a miscarriage! so congrats on the morning sickness.

as for making it a little lighter for ya... i made some organic ginger tea and took it with me everywhere. i couldn't turn my head to the side without getting sick from the motion!

so, get some fresh organic ginger... grate a little, put it into a cup of hot water... let it steep and then just keep it with you all day. taking a sip or two whenever you need to.

Congratulations for your pregnancy!
This may sound rare but it might work. Try Chia Seeds wich is an excelent super-food with lots of calcium and iron, are also recommended for people with gastritis, acid reflux, bowel irritative syndrome, etc., because the Chia seed absorbes 12 times their size in liquids if you ingest them dry they may absorb the acids and hormones that are in your stomach (according to my Doctor that is why I had morning/evenining/night sickness). Take them with water and after a few minutes drink again more water, so they won't absorb your body water. They are excellent as fiver as well.

Best for you!!!!

Thanks everyone!
I am going to try some of the things mentioned in here. I don't like ginger but I don't like being sick even more lol... so the ginger won. :p
I am still sick every day.
