I was recently reading the 150 healthiest foods on earth and of the 40 or so best veggies you could eat there's a list of the TOP BEST. I took those and made a blended drink with them, including my fav fruits. here's the recipe:
In a blender mix:
1 lg banana
7-10 med. size strawberries
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 orange (not pasteurized orange juice!)
1 carrot
A few leaves of dandelion (greens)
A few leaves of kale
1/2 cup mushrooms
A few leaves of fresh spinach
A few leaves of chard (Swiss chard if you can find it)
A few leaves of watercress
2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed (dry grain, not oil)
Blend with as small an amount of water as you can get away with. Add ice and grind, for a smoothie effect. Makes about two 8 oz. glasses.
