Has this happened to anyone...I woke up about 4 this morning so thirsty so between 4 and 7 AM , I drank two quarts of water and it just seemed to run straight through me. I am now onto a huge GS. Yesterday I drank a ton of water when I got home as I was feeling that I needed to start drinking more. I have been faithfully drinking water every day but I guess not enough??.
I am going to drink all day today ( bringing lots of water with me ).
Just curious if I am missing something ...

I am not an expert, but I have read that when we go thorough stressful experiences our bodies may have the response you are describing...very thirsty all the time. Have you just gone through a stressful event that either got you worked up or mentally taxed out? Just like eating cooked foods are acid forming, a stressful event or time period produces the same results. Since the body does not want to stay acidic it requires more water regulate the body. I think it was smart to drink the green shake to alkalize your body.

Just a thought

Thanks, that's an interesting thought. I am in a stressful situation ( thank goodness I have gone raw) and that could explain why I need even more water than one would think. I hope I can keep a bottle attached to my mouth at work! Maybe I should get a ...camel? Isn't that what you call what bikers use?
I drank a ton today and I still need to drink more. I haven't had a thing salty either...
I'm working on the stress, thanks again.

When I get like this, I drink lemon/lime water. I get those big bottles of water with the sip tops on them and put them in the freezer until they begin to partially freeze. Then I drink out a small amount of the water to make room for the lemon/lime. I then wash a lemon and a lime. I usually use a whole lemon and 1/2 of a lime. Sometimes more or less depending on the size, but I try to use about 1/2 the amount of lime as I do lemon. I've also used just lemon if I can't get any lime. I cut them in half, lengthwise and cut them into smallish slice/pieces so they will fit into the bottle. I have to remove the sip top to do this. As I put each piece in there, I squeeze it slightly to get some of the juice out.

I will drink one bottle of this down as quickly as I can, then sip on more bottles during the day.

If you don't like to use bottles like this, you can make it in a glass or make a big pitcher of it. I find it doesn't need any sweetener.

I'll try that lemon liming it tomorrow. I have these great narrow tall glass jars with a decent top opening . Maybe I should be drinking lemon water along with the GS all day. Thanks for your input!
rawgreenyogalini - Yea, cute camel!
