Yesterday I celebrated a whole year RAW! And what an amazing year it has been. Here are the highlights:
1- I lost 37 lbs in about 4 months. I have lots more energy, swim and bike stronger, am more flexible, need less sleep.
2- I am off one of my 3 b/p meds, and am hoping to be off the others soon. I also don't have the excema-like rash on one finger that used to plague me, and no longer get these interesting little wart-like growths on my legs.
3- I recently had an eye exam, and for the first time in 59 years of glasses wearing, my eyesight actually improved by 2 steps.
4- I completed a 3 day water only fast this month, in which I learned alot about myself and mangaed to do some important emotional healing. It was amazing in a very quiet way.
The fun part is that it was my then 14 y.o. granddaughter Leah who introduced me to raw foods last December while we were visiting her and her family in Colorado. It was really nice to share my anniversary day with her as well---making good food, of course! :D
