yes it costs a fortune but i'm telling you it's TOTALLY worth it baby!!!!:D
I just made cucumber juice - WHOLE cucumber juice and oh my sweetnessss it was awesome. It took all of 2 mins to make!
2 whole organic cucumbers
1/3 cup of water (depending on how thick you like your juices)
throw into your babyvita 5200 and blend on high II for 2 mins. As this was my first time, i had to pause it every 30 or so seconds to move it around with the tamper. Also i used room temp distilled water, you may want to substitute with ice cubes instead for an ice cool juice;)
peace beautiful souls

OMG
I'm so so ecstatic for everyone.
I've done my budget for the first quarter of this year and in it I've include x amount of dollars each month so I can order more cool food stuff on line.
I already have a 9 Tray excalibur named Zeus and now to come up with a name for my Vitamixer...
definately a feminine name is in order
hmmmm
maybe Athena or Gaia
any thoughts?

I'm curious to hear how everyone likes their new Vitamix because this is the one I'm thinking of getting.
I was surprised that the cucumber juice took 2 minutes to blend. Thought it would take a matter of seconds for a blender this powerful.
Just bought a new GE 800 watt blender to see how well it blends as it has a low/high speed and ice crusher button. I thought it would be instant but it took some time to get my smoothie nice and smooth. Maybe my expectations are too high. Don't think I'm keeping this new blender though as my older GE that is 450 watts blends pretty good.
Anywho I'd love to hear what everyone has tried making and how it compares to cheaper blenders.

hey spiralgirl, like i said it was my first time with a vitamix of any kind so it took me longer due to my ignorance of the it's behaviour and so i kept stopping it from time to time
but oh my gosh today i used it several times! i made blueberry ice cream/apple celery cucumber juice (WHOLE!!!!!!)/warm room temp spinach and broccoli soup for my husband/almond milk/and CASHEW BUTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i know crazy eh? but it all tasted sooooooo good......so spiralgirl when i made the cucumber juice today it took 15 seconds
- ice cream 25 seconds
- apple juice 30 seconds
- soup (because my hubby likes his soups warm) 3 mins - it was just ready to savour.
will update tomorrow and keep track of what i make with times!
i am IN LOVE with the 5200 :p my new baby:D

AngelLove,
How quiet is the blender? That is the other thing I'm concerned about. I know there will be some noise but just wondering as I've never heard one except on youtube videos and my guess is the sound is muffled so you can hear them talk.
Good to know it whips things up quickly too. Did you make your cashew butter without oil or with?

I have the 5000...I went to Costco today and watched the demo...love watching them!!:D The man had been using his daily for 18 years and told everyone he ate about 80% of his food raw!! Yeah baby!! Loved to hear that in public!! He was 71 and looked great!
My DH bought me the 32 oz wet container. I loved standing there watching that demo with my cart loaded up with beautiful fresh produce and nothing else!!
