This morning I got pins and needles in my right index finger for the third time over the past few weeks, except this time, once the circulation started back up, part of my finger turned blue! That can't be a good sign and I'm kind of freaking out over it. The weird part is that it's only that one finger. The pins and needles happened in my toe for the first time yesterday too, and I'm nervous that it's getting progressively worse. Please help!

Opinion:
-If you feel you are in a health crisis - see a health care professional you trust. If not, some tips are: 1) a slower...more gradual transition 2) Increased cardiovascular exercise, 3) gentle massage of the affected area, 4) No worries. ;)

Why are you "panicking"? Will it help anything?
Consider this ~ the body changes. Just maybe what's happening is a good thing. Why does it always have to be "bad"? Maybe parts of your body are waking up! When something is numb, that's what the "pins and needles" feeling is to me.
This has happened to me numerous times. As David said, massage it. Work it. Find things to do with yourself that creates better circulation in your extremities ~ yoga, qigong, Indian Clubs...
Trust in the process. All these things are signs of awakening which may lead you to doing more and better things for yourself.

I agree that if you feel like this is urgent, you *may* want to see a doctor. But if it's not new to you to have circulation issues, the following things have been helpful for my circulation (helpful enough that I'm in New England and raw yet finding this pretty normal winter to be a breeze!):
-Green Smoothies
-Daily or at least regularly using a body brush on dry skin before I shower
-In the shower, alternating hot and cold water
-Regular exercise (VERY important!)
-Drinking lots of water (hot, room temperature, in herbal tea... etc.)

How long have you been raw and are you getting any Esential Fatty Acids.

This happened to me several times. The first time I was hospitalized and had all sorts of scans done to me etc. But it was a slipped disk in my neck! they put me in traction and fixed it. That was when I was 12. It happened a few more times over the next 15 years and I would just go to the osteopath and get it adjusted. It hasn't happened for a long time now.

You might want to have your B-12 levels checked.
These symptoms can be a sign of deficiency.
