Hello all,
Due to my recent blood work, I'm going back to 100% raw. Do I need to worry about my body going through some detox while pregnant?
Someone IRL told me I would have to be careful...is this true??

Raw is the best thing you can do for yourself and your baby. You may detox but it won't harm the baby.....you will just feel a little under the weather. It's not much different from a cold or flu so I wouldn't worry about it. Keep taking your prenatal vitamins though.

Oh thank you!!
My children already have the flu...so I'll fit right in.
SO far i'm feeling great. I went for some fasting bloodwork and just ate an entire cantelope...it was delicious.:D

Congratulations!!
I am almost 12 weeks pregnant, and I have been wanting to go raw for MONTHS! But I have NO self control! Probably due to a lot of the wrong foods I eat lol. So, my 2008 resolution list included going high raw and exercising at least 15 minutes everyday.
So if you want a pregnancy buddy lmk!!

I have been thinking about the same thing and trying to get info. I am 14 weeks pregnant with my third child and have been very sick. But I am starting to feel more human and I really want to go raw but have been worrying about all the junk built up in my body from all the years of terrible eating.
I was wondering how it has been going for you? Did you go raw? Did you find any info about starting raw while pregnant?
Thanks for the help,
Peachy

My son is 7 months old now. My first 3 months of pregnancy I could not eat a thing and what I did was whatever my husband brought home along the way from work. In other words fast food. After I lost the morning sickness or in my case all day sickness. I went 100% raw a never thought of the the detox issue. I don't recall any ill effects and my baby was delivered with no problems, no drugs in about two hours. That was going from dialated to 2+ to delivery in two hours. Somedays I lived on green juice or as my girls call it green go go juice. I felt great my the last 6 months of pregnancy. I would just do it and feel the great results.

About prenatal vitamins...read the labels ingredients very carefully. I found my prenatal vitamins had Sodium Laurel Sulfate in them! Nice eh?

I am 16 weeks pregnant and have symptoms of detox. But I would rather my baby was getting nutrition from spinach rather than a bowl of icecream.....
