Do not need to use dish soap as much - no greasy metal pots to clean, i use less water to wash dishes
I very rarely shop in Supermarkets and i visit only two aisles - veggies and fruits and bulk nuts
I shop in farmer markets and health stores
I eat on my best china all the time.
I am fed up with tv ( not sure why)
I am more spiritual again
Lost interest in many commercial beauty products looking for green or healthy choices
Lost interest in dark clothing - too bad because i still didn't loose the weight
Lost interest in people's temper, heated discussions and opinions....
Sleep better but shorter

That is great, I need to put together a list like this. I think mine is about 2 pages long.

Wow...you eat on your best china everyday? That's something I've thought of doing, but mine were given to me by my Granny, and she's gone now. Consequently, I only use them for special occasions like she did. I just haven't given myself permission to do otherwise...but I think it's cool that you're doing so - what brought that on, if I may ask?

Cool post. Things I've notice since going raw are very similiar to your list! Especially the one about TV! It nauseates me. If it weren't for movies on DVD, I don't know if I'd own a TV.
What I also have noticed is:
1. I allow myself more beauty in my world. Hence doing my apartment over. Painting. More green and blooming plants about. More furniture
2. More energy to do the things I care about
3. Also no tolerance for disputes or upsets
4. Also more spiritual again
5. More appreciate of my own uniqueness
6. Removing clutter from my world. Back to my desire to be more organized
The list goes on and on!

Yes and there is something about cleaning, reorganizing closet, getting rid of clutter, buying more plants, wanting more flowers, redecorationg, letting go of some emotional attachements .... i red about in in the forum so i know i am not the only one. Eating healthy brings more than just fruits to my table.
And re CHINA: my best is probably some people everyday stuff so i wouldn't compare how elegant and precious it is - i just use my best dishes.

You are certainly not the only one! I write in my blog about how I am doing an internal cleanse foodwise and emotionally. I think eating raw has given me to stamina and the clarity to emotional cleanse from baggage acquire long long ago.
I think eating off your best china is a perfect way to honor yourself. Everyday is a special occasion.

I love this discussion thread!
Since I went raw...
~I no longer suffer from asthma or allergies
~ulcerative colitis symptoms have disappeared
~I've lost 30 lbs and am now my ideal weight
~I have way more energy
~I have become an animal rights activitst
~I have taken steps to make my home cruelty-free (i.e. no more buying anything tested or composed of animals)
~I have regained my spiritual self
~I am more connected to earth (Gaia) and desire to be outdoors more doing gardening, hiking, bird-watching, camping, just being in nature
~my creativity and passion fo rlife has returned--and multiplied
~I am dancing again
~I love vibrant, pasisonate colours, especially orange!
My own belief is that our bodies are composed of energy and that when we stop eating denser foods (animal products, processed foods etc.) we raise our vibration on a physical level, which creates ripples in our etheric bodies. Too bad I don't have photos of my aura before and after going raw.
Blessings for your journey to self and health,
Luminea

Vivafree, I love your list and this thread. I'm sleeping better also and I have a zero attention span with the TV. I haven't watched it for years, but it's exacerbated now and I can't stay in the room with one on. I'd rather talk with whomever I'm in the room with or read.
Here's my list:
Since becoming raw
1. I am more spiritually, emotionally and physically grounded
2. I have a greater appreciation for the earth and all living beings & things
3. I don't buy paper towels and napkins anymore (I have a few cloth ones)
4. I completely overhauled my toiletries and cleaning products - I'm Green
5. I love myself more, my heart is more open, compassion is through the roof
6. I threw out all of my makeup - didn't use it much before I went Raw
7. I don't have food cravings for toxic foods anymore
8. I could live on avocados, flaxseed crackers, banana ice cream & water
9. I am clear with regard to my life purpose and where I'm headed
10. I feel great inside and out; I'm thriving. WOO-HOO.

1. I am happy, constantly :D
2. I can concentrate better
3. I need less sleep
4. I no longer starve/binge/purge
5. I can eat CHOCOLATE again
6. I have a more positive outlook
7. I discovered MACA
8. I discovered a passion for mangoes
9. I replaced my regular old vegan cookbooks with raw books
10. My family no longer worry about my diet!

I didn't discover my life purpose and i am not free from being blue more than i would like to but clearing , cleaning and modifying my surroundings suprise me more.
I am actually returning to the preferences i had when i was just a kid.
More nature, more fruits, light colors, serenity, friends and lots of fun, cotton clothing.... Gee, raw is great! It is a rediscovering of the lifestyle i always knew is the right one.

I am fed up with tv ( not sure why)
That's probably because the only thing worth watching on TV is Sunrise Earth and Mythbusters.

Wow, so many beautiful changes!!!!
*I've only been doing this for just under 2 months, so I will add more to my list as I go on. For now, here goes:
*weaned off of anti depressants(ouch! not easy!)
*become more cheerful(most of the time;)
*released 17 pounds
*reorganized my kitchen
*Began to de-clutter my home and my life. i'm letting go of old stuff in many ways.
*started to drink water, finally!
*gained energy
*mostly gotten rid of asthma
*able to buy almost all foods without packaging, in my own bags
*ended the overeat then starve myself pattern
*Become actually calm about food. (Food had always been upsetting to me. What to eat? What not to eat? How much? When ,where? I was always knowlegebale about nutrition, but couldn't control my cravings. Now I can finally relax. As long as it's raw it 's okay. :) )
RAWK on RAWBIES!!!
What a great thread! I share many of the sentiments that others have expressed. I think what underlies everything for me is a greater sensitivity -- to other people, to my own inner being, and to nature... plus the feeling of a cleaner body and much, much more energy.
Oh and the desire to do something creative again - something I've stifled for quite a while.

Courage.
It's given me courage to stand up and ask for what I want.
It's given me courage to be ME.
I'm in the middle of making some major life changes, and I'm proud of the journey. :)

What changed? Wow a lot!
I am less anxious, tense and impulsive but more intense and spontaneous.
I am more balanced!!!!! I am nicer - really nicer person and more laid back, more relaxed, don't hurt inside. I am able now to see how people should or could solve their problems - i restrain myself from giving advice, but i am able to give so much more now and i see things clearly!!!!! I would never admit that i had fogg in my head before! Everything is easier, nicer, lihter, nicer, more vunerable, prettier ....

Hi
Without getting into detail, how about improvements in your sex lives?
I am new to raw, doing it sporadically and LOVING it!
Curious about improvements to sex lives...I imagine it follows with the rest of the benefits?
Thanks!

1. I don't want to be inside anymore! Previously I spent 99% of my time indoors. Now I have a need for fresh air and nature.
2. I have an urge to eat with my hands. Doesn't Alissa talk about this too? It's really strange. Sometimes I eat my salad with my hands, but never in front of people, lol.
3. I don't need to shower as often. I find that I am not as smelly.
4. I need much less sleep.
5. I wake up feeling refreshed, whereas before I would wake up but not want to get out of bed for an hour or so.
6. I have less digestive issues going on.
7. I've lost my sex drive. I guess I should start taking maca b/c my partner's getting really upset!
8. I don't have any money anymore cuz it's all going toward my expensive food choices!! Lol. But yes, in the long run, it's all worth it :)

Great post, thank you : )
~I save money on household overall: less beauty products because my skin looks great and the dark circles under my eyes are gone; household products huge savings because I mostly use vinegar and baking soda to clean now (safer for kitty too!); mostly fruits and vegetables in diet now so really not expensive, besides I used to overeat like crazy trying to give my poor deprived body its nutrients
~nails, nails, nails…..did I mention nails?? I’ve lost 20lbs in a month, but my WHITE STRONG nail tips and healthy blush nail beds get me most! I am often caught staring at them like a vain woman when I am out…..lol. I’ve even been asked where I get my nails done!! Imagine how much money women could save on nails, skin, surgery, hair, etc etc if they just went raw: no more need to cover up ugly SAD effects
~better digestion and elimination and WAY more attuned to my body (inner and outer)
~spiritually I feel much more grounded and in tune with other people and creatures, and I’ve gotten back onto the spiritual path I need to be on. Also living green, helping animals and overall gentler and kinder.
What pill can do all of the things mentioned in this post???
Raw rocks!!!!

you guys rock. raw is a miracle!
so far, after only 11 days 100% after 4 months cooked vegan, I have these results:
1. exercise induced asthma totally gone
2. eczema virtually gone-no more itching at all, previous rash almost healed
3. went from a size 8 to a 4 (this morning)
4. sleeping really well (could never sleep through the night)
5. very calm, slow breathing, speaking is more eloquent and calm (that's a wild one, just "became" that way)
6. much more calm driving (this is a VERY helpful development!)
7. mind is still when I meditate
8. the healing energy coming through my hands is very strong, and clients can feel it (I do CranioSacral Therapy)
9. My intuition and channeling is very clear (I'm also a spiritual channeler)
10. having the courage to really be present in my life-not flinching or running away
11. Feel more connected to animals and nature-don't even want to kill the grain moths in my kitchen-even though they get into my $14/pound macademia nuts! lol...
if all this came in 11 days, I can't wait to see what else comes forth!!!:p

My libido has always been kinda high and raw has helped me ground it more. I pour the excess energy into creative projects. I wasn't a sex addict or anything like this, just wore the batteries out on my romantic partners. ha. Now I'm more balanced or so I feel like this. Raw seems to put everything in balance, including the sex hormones etc.

Can we have a conversation about this? I really want to do this, too. I am about 70% raw right now, but this is very recent, I've only been off sugar for about three weeks, which is important because i know the blood sugar ups and downs were a big factor, but i'm totally afraid to do it. I've been on an SSRI six years, am at twice the dose i started on, and when i tried to stop about two years after i first started, it was a disaster. All of the causes were still in place though, so there is no reason i should have succeeded then. Still i am scared to try and my partner is even more scared for me to try - i bit his head off and even yelled at his son last time. How long did it take you, and what were your strategies (aside from raw food)? feel free to email me or start a new post if this is inappropriate for this very positive thread about everyone's great changes.
my list so far:
*candida is in check - I am confidant it will be gone soon.
*remembering to breathe
*developing cravings for healthy foods, and loosing cravings for sad ones
*more energy and wanting to exersize
*really good love vibes in romantic partnership (he's upping raw intake, too, and loves the food i make for him. He's so proud of me for kicking the sugar habit)
*my bedroom is clean! (almost. but way more than usual)
