What do you mix in the smoothies to make them green?

Thanks!

Our favorite is spinach....it's amazing because you'd think it would give it a spinach taste but it doesn't. It does turn it green!!!

Molly,

You can use the search function above to find previous posts on green smoothies and there are a lot of them to try. Personally, I have added the two above, cucumber, celery and will be trying parsley next. I am currently reading Victoria Boutenkos' book Green for Life, which I recommend, and some of the other 'greens' mentioned are Lambsquarter, Romaine Lettuce, mint, kiwi, avocado, basil, cilantro, etc.. If you google green smoothies I am sure you will find tons of different recipes.

Spinach, kale, collards are all favorites of mine. It's a good idea to alternate the greens .I just add whatever I have - big handful of greens then maybe a banana, mango or ban and pineapple or maybe fresh OJ, or even fresh cranberries, other berries...endless...oh and cukes....celery....even a whole pomegranate... Just go for what you want to taste and throw in a bunch of greens. As time goes on I will try to be closer to 60-80% greens...but I still need at least 1/2 fruit.Yum Yum !

Spinach, celery, and cucumber. My manbear even love them and doesnt taste the green in them. And that's saying something if he approves!
