I haven't a clue!!! I've done my transcription for the day and am going to go do a load of dishes and then settle in with the dvd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!! The transformation that they show at the end of the tape will AMAZE YOU.... that's what sold me ... if those women could do it for 30 days - I could too... and if they could change and transform THAT MUCH in 30 days.... THEN I COULD TOOO!!!! :eek: I even took the DVD to work with me and when I felt the least bit discouraged or felt like I might slide.... I would put on the DVD here at work and just stare at the before and after pics!!! wow.... amazing.... simply amazing.... :eek:

Okay, I've watched both dvds AND read the book and poked through the recipes:D I had NO idea how much already in alignment I was with Alissa's philosophies! WOW!! That REALLY made me get that "at home" feeling:D

Now I want a dehydrator! I saw so many things in the recipes that would help hubby go raw - like the eggplant parmesan for one, and the reuben and the pizzas...he'll never miss a thing! It's going to still be a while before we can afford the $200+ for the excalibur, and I hesitate to use the one I have now very often.

Reading the book and watching the dvds also made me long to stay at 100% for the rest of my life and to live the life of an Instructor, teaching, helping, healing and guiding people with Alissa's philosophies. In time, I'll get there.

gosh... we are so blessed to be on this path... okay - I'm crying now... from joy and the knowledge of what a gift this is... and it's ours rawbies ... its our turn now -- to take this knowledge - this gift of LIFE and share with others....

I have those, too, and absolutely love them! Alissa has a way of writing that is very inspiring and doable. You don't groan after reading her book or watching the dvd and say, "I just can't do raw!" You are very fired up after it. :)

My two oldest boys (5 and 3) will actually ask to watch "the DVD with the 3 ladies making food". How cute is that?

I must put a vote in for the crepes. And the pad thai. And the blueberry pie... MMmm! I am ready for the January challenge!!

I am SO happy for you girlie!:D You are going to have SO much fun! That blueberry pie is amazing! You can make the blueberry cheesecake too! I love the pesto pasta too. You can make the pesto stuffed mushrooms and just not dehydrate them. There, that should get you started.;)

Funny story for me how I came across Alissa's book.

I was in the library doing research on the computer of Raw Food, stumbled across her website (along with many others) and then checked to see which books were available at my location. Well the only book available for me to check out that day was Alissa's Living on Live Food. I sat down in a comfy chair just to read a little bit. I couldn't put it down!!!!! I read the WHOLE BOOK sitting in the library. I couldn't believe it. I had to take it home and read it again.

I guess the rest as they say is history!

There is just something about Alissa's "voice" in that book.... I can't really describe it. Hit me like a ton of bricks. It was the final "YES, THIS IS RIGHT" I needed to start my own Raw Food Journey. Amazing stuff in that book...

I always find when I'm searching or have been mulling something over in my mind this is what happens. And it's usually completely unexpected. If I'm in the library or a bookstore "the book" always falls right into my lap. And then I will open it up to any page and wala there's my answer. Never fails.

I know exactly what you mean. I received Alissa's book on the same day as you and feel the same way about her life philosophies which I was unaware of. I've been practicing them myself for years and I was like, oh wow, yeah, yeah, yeah as I was reading her words. :) I'm not surprised I gravitated to this website a few months ago. I love Alissa's voice in the book, it speaks of truth and it's genuine. I've heard raw fooders praising it and now that I have the book, I know exactly what everyone is raving about. The price of the book is a bargain as far as I'm concerned. The book is priceless, it's huge & chockfull of great information and recipes. And I love the stories of inspiration towards the end - so wonderful.

I can't wait to make the mock salmon. :D
