Hey All! ....just wanted to share this yummy recipe my hubby came up with...it is so good!

*soaked and sprouted kamut and spelt seeds {maybe a 1 cup or so each}

*deydrate sprouts until dry....within a day, and we left them overnight in the dehydrator on off...just so they would stay dry and not get moisture from the fridge. Then grind.....we used the grain mill attachment on our Champion juicer...but any appliance that grinds grain will do.

Then he added a bit of sea salt, some extra virgin cold pressed olive oil and water to make it stick together....

formed very flat rounds and back in the dehydrator until dry.....and VOILA!!! Delicious crackers! these are sooooo good! they don't have that grainy taste from crackers made from fresh sprouted grains that I'm not used to yet...and are so smooth in texture.........yummy...just had to share!:D

this sounds sooooo good, and exactly what I've been looking for. I'm out to buy some kamut and spelt seeds and get them sprouting straight away. Thank you so much for posting, deberaw.

OK...so far, I'm not a big fan of sprouted grains. They just taste funny, but I also miss bread. How long do you sprout them (do they actually grow a sprout). I've often thought of dehydrating sprouts and grinding them to make a "flour"....is that what I'm going for??

Great idea.

HI Ladies! Yes, sprout them for a couple of days so they have a bit of a tail...and then dry them and grind etc.....after grounding, it was like a coarse flour. And we have just a Nesco dehydrator...I'd love to know how they work in other dehydrators! This I'm also sure can be done with either just spelt or kamut or other grains and spiced up if desired...........We were out running errands and then wondered if they indeed are Raw with the double dehydrating and grinding....we think so though...thoughts on this????
