apple cider vinegar bath will bring heavenly relief with the itching and irritation - dump 2 cups of it in a warm bath and soak for 30-45 mins
you can add sea salt to the bath as well
use a clove of garlic as a suppository and leave it in for 6-12 hours, use your fingernail to cut 2-3 grooves in it to release the natural antifungal power
you're gonna smell like the garlic monster, but you will be a happy woman because it works...fast!
you can sleep with it in and no it cannot go beyond your cervix (wear a lightdays pad)
when you move your bowels or squeeze your muscles, it will pop right out
if you've used an OB tampon, you'll have no problem with this
cut up 4-5 cloves of garlic and take them as pills, drink the down with a glass of water (don't chew, swallow)
a few drops of oil of oregano in a glass of water or grapeseed extract will do the same thing - all kill candida and are antifungal
sorry to any men who come across this...maybe too much information LOL

Yeah, RawHeaven, I concur-very good information to know and pass on to others :)
Not to question or devalue your advice, RawHeaven, but I'm sure some people may not be fond of the garlic clove idea. Do you think swabbing some coconut oil inside would have the same effect, as it is an antifungal as well?? Just curious.

Yes, of course there are other ways to heal. Tea tree oil probably works very well too! I tried it also, but it didn't work...probably because I had an advanced case by the time I figured out what was going on.
I will be quite honest. I've only had 2 of these infections in my life, knock on wood. And the last one being during detox a few weeks ago and it was the infection from hell. I did a lot of research during my crying fits and sheer misery. I seriously was in a lot of pain and will spare you the details of what was happening in the nether regions...but it was not a happy picture. The ACV baths and garlic were the only things that worked for me and I tried everything for a week. The garlic clove worked immediately and so that's the only reason I shared it. I was desparate, didn't care what I smelled like etc. lol. I just wanted the symptoms to end...I was not sleeping...it was that bad. I'm a huge advocate for garlic being a cure for really bad yeast infections at least. If someone is truly suffering, give it a try. I also continued to take garlic pills with water and grapeseed oil extract when it finally cleared up after 2 days. I believe this wiped out any remaining candida from my system.
I also read in the research that I did if you ever feel a yeast infection beginning, if you use garlic as a suppository it will keep it from becoming a full blown infection. Hopefully you won't ever have one, but just in case I will do this if it happens again. It was the worst!
Here are some links to sites I visited, more cures listed including the tea tree oil...

Hm,
I have candida. No yeast infections, ever, but just about ever other symptoms. Do you think taking garlic orally would help?

The garlic just might work as it kills candida overgrowth. I didn't realize I had candida until I got that yeast infection. It's a byproduct of having candida in your system. I've been fasting the past few months and I believe it brought it to the surface. It was a healing crisis or major detoxification in that now it's out of my body, but it was not a fun experience.
I've read that oil of oregano, garlic and truly just getting a lot of greens and good nutrition helps. I'm not qualified to prescribe anything medically, but I can share my personal experience that I believe the garlic really helped me heal. And I believed it would work so it could also have something to do with it.
I also stopped eating all sweet fruits and just getting tons of green juices in my system for a few weeks after that horrid yeast infection. I think this made a major difference also.
My tongue is bright pink now!

RawHeaven: I'm so sorry you went through that. I've had a few yeast infections in my life my nothing that serious. I'm glad something worked so well for you. I was just curious about other possible methods. But yeah, who really cares about the garlic smell? The yeast smell aint much better! :(

thank you Rawsinger, i wouldn't wish it on anyone.
i felt like i had some foreign yeast creature attached to me and it no longer looked like my flower if you know what i mean. scary stuff.
the garlic was my last resort before having to go to the OB Gyn, which i really didn't want to do. i knew i'd just be prescribed antibiotics which would heal it probably, but also exacerbate the candida/flora issue down the road.
