i opened a young coconut yesterday to find that he was smiling at me (see above)..

maybe a reminder to enjoy the whole food process (prep, serving, eating, cleaning).. and little things can bring happiness. recognizing these little things and generally having a good time creates good feelings all around.... why we say grace, etc.... is that our minds can either make the food we eat good for us or not, even if they are "healthy" to begin with.

now, i'm not saying that you can turn a mcdonalds cheesburger into a healthy food by the power of thought alone. There are many bad karma factors going into that food already, before you even pull up at the drive through. But what I am saying is that you can turn a naturally healthy and raw organic meal into a nightmare for your body if you don't allow the good karma of the food into your body. feeling good about the food we eat is as important as feeling good about ourselves, imo. if we eat raw/vegan to begin with, its a lot easier to let this happen, because the food is not given to us with bad energy, like a cheeseburger probably is.

being receptive to the energy in our foods is a real thing. If you're not having a good time in the kitchen, at the co-op or food store, the food probably isn't going to have a good time in your stomach...
