A quick question. I made the decision to get off the nuvaring, no more fake hormones. So, is birth control something you just stop taking or do you have to taper off?

I am le clueless.

Good question. From my experience with it you stop it completely. I am unsure about the specific type you are taking. :o

Wouldn't that be a question for the doctor prescribing them?

I was on some pill for 13 years and just stopped taking them when my liver hemorrhaged.. thought it might be a good reason.

I don't want to deal with doctors anymore.

I'm in the week when you take the ring out so I thought it'd be a good chance to just leave it.

Liver hemorrhage? Wow. Because of the pill or unrelated?

I too just stopped taking mine one day. But, I did monitor my blood pressure and watched how I was feeling. I ate really healthy (raw will really help with this) and dranks lots of water and lemon, made a lot of green smoothies and just walked for exercise along with yoga and meditation (to counter balance the hormone change) for the first month or so, why the major part of the medicine in my body adjusted and cleared out. It all seemed to help. If you do not feel good at all, please just go to the doc and have them at least check your vitals.

Cheers,
Heather
