Would someone mind telling me what Kombucha is and where do I get it or how do I make it? And of course, what are the benefits? Thank you muchly!:)

Kombucha is a formented tea that is full of probotics, enzymes and so much more. It is a really good drink.

Some or the benefits are:

increased energy levels and decreased appetite, to improved digestion, healthier skin and hair, and even a stronger immune system.

I just finished off a bottle of Kombucha Gingerade...it's fabulous and it makes me feel warm all over...and very relaxed. :)

The bottle says: it's a handmade Chinese tea that is dlicately cultured for 30 days. During this time, essential nutrients form like: Active Enzymes, Viable Probiotics, Amino Acids, Antioxidants and Polyphenols.

Supports: Digestion
Metabolism
Immune System
Appetite Control
Weight Control
Liver Function
Body Alkalinity
Anti-Aging
Cell Integrity
Healthy Skin and Hair

And I have to say, I'm hooked. I purchase it already made, but if anyone can tell us how to make it...I would be forever grateful. It cost me $3.99 a bottle and I've been drinking one a day!

Hope that helps!

I recently started brewing my own (thanks to another fellow RFT'er who was kind enough to pass on a scoby) and I just love the stuff. You can get more info at www.getkombucha.com but there are other sites out there too with a bunch of info. It helps keep me in check ~ if not for kombucha, I'd cave to soft drinks. :D

I've got a scoby in my fridge right now.... really should do something with it, but the kombucha starter that I keep buying is just too dang good, it never lasts to brew with!!

You can buy it at whole foods, or online. (synergy brand is 100% raw, most others aren't)

:) Thanks ladies. You answered all my questions - right down to making the stuff at home. I may just try that but now I know where I should be able to get it and it sounds pretty good. Worth a try anyway. Have a good day!
