hmmm... suggestions... well... for my first green smoothie - I went very simple... (in a blender) filled it about half way with spinach - packed a lot in there actually! added a handful of strawberries, a squeeze of agave, about 8 oz of orange juice - sometimes a banana and water -- blended it up and it was quite delicious  ! I was surprised.. !! but that is a very simple green smoothie... there are lots of recipes with more 'green' in them, but I wanted to go easy on myself!!

or you can do fruit smoothies - any kind of fruit and blend it up ...

a simple meal - I would probably just do a really terrific salad, unless you want to get into dehydrating something like an onion bread (which is very simple btw)... and have that with a little bit of eggless egg salad (which is also a very simple recipe), some sprouts or lettuce and it's simple quick and fabulous... well http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s43/FireStar_830/scratchchin.gif - quick except for having to dehydrate the bread!

you know what is very quick and very easy -- to make a raw marinara sauce in a blender or fp... tomatoes, garlic, onions, salt , little bit of olive oil, maybe some parsley or oregano and pour that over some zuchinni noodles! that's very quick and very easy!

check out the recipe section and see what you can find on the desserts... lots of wonderful things being posted... oh hey -- go to Mattye Lee (Amberstorms) blog... she posted a terrific recipe yesterday for a carmel chewy bar... here's the link...

to her blog (the photo of the dessert is here!) .... http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/blogs/blog-2970/entry-8359/

to her vegan kitchen blog (the recipe is here along with many other wonderful and easy recipes!) ... http://mattyeleesvegankitchen.blogspot.com/

good luck!!

My favorite green smoothie (people will abbreviate gs here) is very simple and similar to Starfire: fill up a blender half way with fresh spinach, add 2 cups of water and 2-3 frozen bananas (peel and slice bananas and then stick them in the freezer overnight), blend and there you have it!

Desserts are a favorite around my house. I didn't have a dehydrator for months, but I got very good at making pies, raw cookies, ice cream. Our favorite around here is Alissa's fudge balls:

2 cups of dates, pitted and soaked for a couple of hours
2 cups of raw almond butter
1/2 carob power

Blend the dates in a food processor until smooth
add the rest of the ingredients until smooth
take out and roll into balls.

We roll the balls in a little coconut as well, but these are so good and so quick!

thank you guys so much!!!! I know that spinich will be included in my first green smoothie because it's the easiest thing for me to get a hold of and it sounds like a good thing to start with. All those other recipes sound good to! I am going to decided exactly what i want to make and go grocery shopping tomorrow so i can test my hand at this whole cooking raw thing! Thanks again for replying and to anyone else who replys!!!
