How making a green smoothie gives it 5x more the nutritional value. I have read this a few times but I dont understand how it happens. Is it to do with the cell walls or something??

thanks

As far as I know when you blend the greens it is broken down so that our body can digest it easier, the problem is that we don't chew well enough to really break down the greens for maximum absorption.

What Doc said plus, you'll be getting more fruits and greens than you can drink more than you can chew and eat.

I think that you will see it for yourself once you try that. I go nuts if i don't have my greens smoothies. For instance, i have been trying to finish up some raw food that i made last weekend to entertain and i didn't bother to make my green smoothies. Let me tell you that i was baddly craving for it and felt so better once i had it this morning. I was starting to crave for rice but now i feel ok.

Greens smoothies and especially the green soup of Dr. Ann Wingmor is consider as a balance and complete food.

Chlorophyle is simular to our blood cell and it is said that this is like receiving a new blood transfusion. You can juice it and but if you have smoothies, this is consider as a complete food. Juicing could be very good too because you absorb the nutriment right of way but you don't want to detox too quickly either.

I now use wild greens in my smoothies. For the winter, i cannot really do this but you bet on summer that i will be picking up my own food.

Best wishes.

It is not what you eat it is what you digest that nourishes you.
I expect that blending makes the nutrients more readily available and so you digest more.
