I have been raw 100% for 2 months and its been awesome, but for some reason today i felt the "desire" to eat some rice and indian food i made for my husband. Yes, i have been cooking for him whilst i have been doing the raw thing and i have to say its been challenging but not as hard as you would think. It wasn't that i was "craving" cooked food i jus wanted to eat that indian food, maybe its because for the last 27 yrs i have been brought up on that food as i am indian....i don't really know of the reason, BUT i am worried as to how this will affect my body as i do have the "glow" and am so worried now that it will mess up my system!...i mean will one cooked meal really affect my 2 months of being on raw foods? ahhhh i hope not i don't want to break out and go through all that crazy acne and detox again!

its been 15 mins since i ate the food and i am already running to the bathroom and am thinking of drinking lots of green cleansing drinks and perhaps taking a sea salt bath to eradicate the toxins.....any ideas my beautiful friends?

a raw soul sister who needs some help!! :(

love love love to you all

Honestly, the best thing to do is just eat your next meal raw. And the one after that, and after that until you are back in the swing of things.

It was a bump in your raw road. That's all. ;) Don't let it worry you or make you crazy trying to make up for it.

If I ever eat cooked (and occasionally it happens) I fall asleep. I have a very rough time digesting food. SO, I tend to feel a bit hung over the next day. I thank God for this response as it always helps me get right back on track!

It will be ok. Raw Rawks...get back to it! (((HUGS)))

I fall asleep too and have that nasty hangover feeling. ACV helps me, I just take a tbsp right down the hatch. :p Don't stress about it, just remember for next time. :D

AngelLove, I've been there. I agree with ShelShel, simply just eat raw for your next meal. I get so tired (with myself, ha, and physically) when I back track, but I haven't done it for a long while now. I just don't like how I feel eating cooked, I literally feel "cooked". During the last instance a few weeks ago, I did give myself a sea salt flush (32 oz of spring water with 2 tsp uniodized sea salt) and flushed that stuff right out of my colon the next morning. Felt great afterwards, took some probiotics and resumed eating raw.

Best wishes!

Crystal

I've only done it twice and both times it took just a few hours to kick in. Don't plan on going anywhere once you've had the entire glass...as you will wish you hadn't.
Good luck and yes, cucumber is such a wonderful veggie. It's raw...have at it!

AngelLove, shake it up and drink it first thing in the morning. It's best if you don't have any pressing appointments in the morning as you may be running back and forth to the bathroom. Plan to stick close to a bathroom for 90 minutes to 2 hours though. ;) It takes an hour or two to flush completely depending on what's in your colon. I always feel really great after I do this. I don't think you're supposed to do use the sea salt bath too often, unless of course you're on the master cleanse. Anyway, this is probably all too much information, LOL.

The cucumber juice sounds divine and your body will probably give you a big kiss after you have it.

Peace back to ya,

Crystal

I agree with everyone. Many people will think that since they 'blew it', they can gorge themselves on SAD crappy foods and begin raw the next day or next week. You just have to realize that you have totally cleaned out your body in the last 2 months, which actually makes it easier for your body to get rid of crap when you do eat it. HOWEVER, getting rid of it faster will also leave you with detox symptoms, which is why people generally don't stray from the raw foods. Does that make sense?
Anyways, GREAT JOB on the 2 months. I sympathize with you though with the Indian food. I used to love it. There are many good Indian raw recipes that you can make though. I've made samosas (RFRW), chutney, use curry on tons of stuff. Just research and you will find tons to satisfy your cravings.
Good luck!

Glad you feeling better angelLove. I love indian food, it's my favorite cooked food, and it never causes me any problems when I eat it, but I'm trying to avoid all cooked no matter what.

You are strong to be able to cook for your family and stay raw.
