Hi everyone. I am extremely new to this, i just stumbled across this web site friday in my search for support on what i wanted my newlife style to be. I haven't even gone grocery shopping or anything yet but i can't take the way i feel anymore and i am done eating foods that are ruining my body. So i have no idea what to eat for breakfast. i don't have a blender, right now all i have upstairs are vegetables, steel cut oats, and quick oats, which i don't evem know if they are RAW foods. does anyone have ideas for me??? Thanks!;)

Welcome! I'm new to eating raw as well. I do have a book or 2 and a Vitamix though. I'd say search around these boards, buy or check out some books and go from there. Learn all you can and prepare as much as you can while taking baby steps. Obviously fruits, veggies (smoothies), nuts, salads are all good places to start. That's just the beginning though. I can't wait to get a dehydrator and try out some recipes. There are a lot of recipes you can do w/o that as well. Today I'm writing down a bunch of "meal" ideas from the boards!
Good Luck!
On of my favorite snacks is cherry tomatoes cut in half, an avacodo cut up, sunflower and pumpkin seed thrown in, add Bragg's salad dressing and mix. So yum!

Honestly, I didn't get Alissa's book until after I was raw...wish I had started with her book. She explains everything from, why...what...where. She tells you how to soak seeds and nuts and for how long. She gives you a shopping list and a list of meals to make for 2 weeks. That would have been so much more simple then the way I did it. Which was hit or miss. I would think I was finally 100% raw and I would be crushed to find out something I had been eating all week wasn't. Just try your best and remember there are no Raw Police out there.
For breakfast...I love fruit! :D Berrys of all kinds...with a small handful of nuts on the side.
Or...if you have a blender....open a thai coconut and pour in the juice...then scoop out the actual coconut. Add it to the blender with a banana and several strawberries...toss in some greens and blend away. Fruit smoothie!
Or you could go to Alissa's food store and purchase raw oats. Make yourself some yummy room temperature cereal.
There are so many options with raw...we just have to start thinking outside of the SAD box.
Can't wait to read other ideas! Good luck. Raw (((HUGS)));)

You can just start very simply with fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds to get the ball rolling. You will feel so much better even just starting there. Then when have a chance to look on the boards and some books to get some recipes you can expand on what you are eating. The important thing is getting started because trust me - after only a few days you will notice the difference!:p Also....make sure that you always carry something raw with you to eat because when the munchies come they can be fierce!:D

One of my favorites is sliced mango, banana and avocado. The littles love it too! Good luck :D
