I was reading a book where they were talking about fasting. They listed several types of fasts: water, juice etc. Then they mentioned that you could to a raw or living foods fast which they said was great for beginners because it gave them all the benefits of fasting yet they could eat all day (as long as it was raw of course!). I just kind of smiled...I didn't realized I have been "fasting" for so long!:D

It's called a Daniel fast ( i hope i spelled it correctly):)
I have a friend who has gone on one and she loved it but then when she finished she went back to eating the old way:(

A friend of mine in the alternative health field puts her clients on a 3-day raw "fast" for arthritis pain. Stops the pain in 3 days, but she told me that she can't get them to stay on it longer than that!!

I guess in a way it is fasting- in the sense that people are abstaining from other foods one might typically eat...I've just never thought of it that way. I eat SO much all day!

I do remember reading something about going on raw for a few days for arthritis -- I never realized it was considered a fast though!
