Everytime I go to my mom's house I do not eat raw. It is a dangerous place for me. Although this time was much better. Funny, when she ran into the grocery store and asked me what I wanted I said an 'apple' and one would think one's mother would be so proud. Did she get me the apple, no. I had to stay in the car with my niece and nephew. She even has a mini food processor. It took me years to learn to eat before I went to her house. Now I have to learn to bring food and water to her house. The result: I felt nauseated practically the whole time. Did not feel well at all. Then it is so comfortable there I just want to stay and typically do longer than I should. She did buy me one avocado (which was hard), but I was able to eat it the next day. One night I became quite ill. On top of all of this I have a horrible toothache which I have to get fixed, but will take some bucks which are coming in about two weeks. Have been forced to take aspirin as the pain was incredible. Back to eating mostly raw today. Ready to get back into the swing of things. Just wish I could remember to bring food to her house.

I hear you. Hang in there. Just some thoughts:

-PREPAREDNESS is definitely the watch word for a raw food person. Always eat before you leave home and bring a snack. If I go somewhere for a longer stay.....and the folks may not be accomodating......I usually make my own arrangements (like a hotel...or sympathetic friends home....or local camping)....and bring a couple of days food in a pack.

-For better or worse....in America....just about every small burg has a market or grocery store....or farmers where you can buy direct. America is just chocked fully of stuff. And the larger cities? Heck...there is usually a grocery store on EVERY corner. Heh..heh...

-In any event....even NOT eating for a couple of days....doesn't sound like any big tragedy to me. Probably just the opposite - you know? :)

-Strength to you.
