I just had some fantastic watermelon and it moved me so, that I was inspired to write this beautiful tribute. Don't be jealous, now.
Watermelon, nice and round
Sweetest one I ever found
Outside green and inside red
It is bigger than my head
Great big piece fits on my plate
Mandy watched while I ate
Licked her lips she wanted some too
I said, “No watermelon for you.”
DaddyÂ’s getting another slice
HeÂ’d get me another too if heÂ’s nice
Three pieces have gone down the hatch
While sitting in the watermelon patch
Spit the seeds out ‘cross the way
Neighbor looks and I said, “hey!”
I know heÂ’d eat some if I offered
Too bad heÂ’s a jerk and leaves his trashcans on our property and lets his dog go in our yard and complains about the other neighbors and always has 10 cars in front of his house andÂ…Â…

Time to get me another dish
