Shaving cream recommendations?

I used to sell for Weleda USA and I liked their shaving cream but didn't love it. Since then I have tried a couple of natural brands but still haven't found a great one.

I hate how my face always breaks out a little after shaving. I was curious if anyone had any recommendations for brands I could buy or possibly some crazy combination of oils that I could try.

I am a guy, so I will be shaving my face!!

The question is are you looking to stay on the vegan side of shaving or just something good for your skin.

Without knowing and assuming you're wanting to stay away from animal products in addition to unnecessary chemicals,

I'd suggest a shaving brush from wal-mart. It's natural plant based bristle. Then I'd suggest Van Der Hagen deluxe shaving soap that now uses no animal products and includes shea butter. Wet shaving with shaving soap and brush is a wonderful experience and you can get a lot of vegan friendly products out there.

I actually use straight razors now as it is more eco friendly than disposables. I've made a nice, vegan friendly strop and I sharpen my own razors. I am saving probably about 300 or more a year in shaving supplies now that I no longer buy disposables and all the fancy things.

Well, I don't shave my face, but I do shave my legs, and my skin is quite sensitive, but I dunno how it would compare to the skin of the face, that being said, I use "Kiss My Face" moisture shave - the name seems to say it all for you ... my brother in law uses it to shave his face as well and he's rather particular ... maybe it would work for you too (they have a variety of scents as well). The folks at your local health store could probably also offer some good advice to you too. HTH! :D
