are frozen veggies raw?
in Alissa's book, she has a great recipe for corn chowder.
in the Boston area, ears of corn are nowhere to be found.
I used frozen corn in it's place.
it was a VERY yummy soup recipe.
but I'm questioning if the frozen corn is raw.
I'm thinking that frozen fruit is probably raw and maybe not the veggies?
or some veggies are?
help!!!!
do you eat frozen veggies?

Frozen vegetables have almost always been blanched before freezing. Fruit may or may not be. I do not personally use frozen stuff for a raw recipe unless I have frozen it myself. But I live in WA. Here I can get pretty much anything year round. I lived in MA for a while and I well remember the winters there were I longed for good fresh produce. Sometimes you've just got to make do with what you've got.

yeaa they are basically not raw....but honestly that does not stop me from eating frozen peas-i crave them so much these days and can only get them frozen :(
by the way, when they're blanched- is there ANYthing good left in those veggies? i would hope so !
