Hi there!!

I'm Fernando, from Chicago (easy to guess... lol nick :p )

Currently I'm vegan (who avoids most of the vegan junk food) but I'm interested in the rawdism (I hope a non-raw vegan is welcome too)

Right now, I'm incrementing my raw intake everyday a bit more. However, having icy storms and freezing wind gust, a hot soup is a must in these days :(
Anyway, I'm increasing my raw intake and I purchased a raw "cooking" book for Ana (with who I'm living) for Christmas, so that will help.

On summer, we are going to raise a lot our raw food intake. At least, 75% of our diet will be raw.

Well, nice to meet you guys!!! I will love to share with all of you!

Fernando, of course you're welcome! I was a vegan for many years prior to going raw this year. I'm not 100% yet, but close to it. From what you wrote I gather you're a very bright-spirited guy. I hope you & Ana have a great holiday season. I admire you for being raw in Chicago at this time of year....Brrrrr.

Peace,
Crystal

Welcome-
Oh yea, this is a great site ! Being a vegan makes it a natural transition. Even though I am new, I don't care for cooked veggies at all anymore.
You are awesome to start in the bitter of winter ! Way to go !

Thanks guys!!!
Yeah... It has been several months that rawdism has been calling me. My transition from omnivor to vegan was easy (I even did not pass the vegetaria phase, as one night I ate fried chicken and the next day, I started being vegan.

The problem, I love cook foods, but I know that I'm killing vitamins and that is not cool. I hate to see in the grocery store frozen veggies (like broccoli) without Vitamin C,,, that bugs me too much.... and some cooked veggies are starting to bug me as well... so that is why I want to step up.

As I told... this Christmas I will have tofurkey and more vegan stuff, but then... with the raw recipe book me and Ana are going to increase our raw intake.

(Right now, we are dining raw everyday but weekends) So it's about time :)
I'm happy to be here :)

Thanks guys

(I'll be more frecuent after Christmas... I'm so busy these days)

Welcome to RFT....you'll have to try green drinks, actually I think alot of people call them Green Smoothies. Maybe your new book will have some recipes in it for them. I love banana, spinach and a bit of agave with some water...then zip in the vita mix. Adding an orange is good too. Enjoy RFT!!!
