When it is ripe? How to eat it and how it should taste?
I had one yesterday - i am not sure if it was salty or sweet or sour or all together - it wasn't unpleasant like some but i couldn't figure out the taste. What do you do with it?

I've never heard of a tomarillo. Do you mean a tomatillo? Those little green tomatoes?

They are tart like a green apple and tomato mixed. I check under their covering for bumps and bruises and buy them firm. I wait about 2 days and prepare it like I would any other tomato for salsa.

There was a recipe posted recently for tomatillo salsa. You might check with the banana search. Tomatillo is my favorite sauce for mexican food.
Simply fresh, tart & delish!

I am thinking it will taste like a sour tomato, am I right?? I've been thinking of buying a few to make some fresh salsa, do I mix them with regular tomatoes??
thanks

You can, but you don't have to.

Tamarillo and Tomatillo are not the same thing.
I've never actually had a Tarmarillo. I just looked it up.
