this is a repeat... but the recipe really rawks!!

Chrissy's Goddess Chips

2 bunches kale, broken into large pieces by hand

Dressing:

3/4 c sesame tahini
1/4 c nama shoyu
1/2 c apple cider vinegar
1/2 c water ~ more if needed
2 scallion
1 clove garlic
1 lemon, juiced
1/4 t. sea salt
1/4 c fresh parsley

Place kale in a large mixing bowl. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth to get a thick consistency. You may have to add more water. Pour over kale and mix thoroughly with your hands to coat the kale. You want this mixture to be really glued onto the kale.

Place kale onto a Teflex sheet, on top of a mesh dehydrator screen, and dehydrate for 4 hours @ 110 degrees. You'll need to use two trays. Rotate kale occasionally to dry uniformly.

The first time I made these I stood over the dehydrator and ate the chips right from the Teflex sheet. Enjoy!

These are the most delicious chips I have ever had. I made them last night. My husband who hates vinegar loved them and took some of them to work to share. ( I have to work on the sharing part):D Food addict here.

I could honestly make these weekly.

What I love is that it inspired me to make other chips, like pesto chips, barbecue chips, Teriyaki chips, honey dejon chips. Tomato basil chips............The list in my head goes on and on.

Thanks a million. When I have a need to crunch, I will go make these chips. They are ready before bed if I make them when I first get home.

Greens will never go to waste in our home now.

Thanks a million!

Pssssssssst.. I used half kale, half dinosaur kale. The dino kale has more little crannies for the sauce to stick to. It's really really good.

This is a 5 avocado recipe.

That means it's PHAT..... PRETTY HOT AND TEMPTING!

Make these chips if you dare! :D :p

I made this recipe today, and it's very good, but I'm wondering about something: I used the exact proportions and I did not get a thick consistency in the batter. It was very thin and runny. I don't see how you could get a thick consistency since the only really thick ingredient is the tahini. There's a lot of liquid in the recipe. Am I missing something?

My mom went ga-ga over these things, except I used a little agave when I made them which made a more sweet & sour flavor with the vinegar. Thanks for posting Star, she'll be here in 4 days!!! Better get some in the dehydrator!!!!!
