Can you use frozen blueberries in this? I really want to make it, but fresh blueberries are just not available around here right now! :)

Yep, you sure can! You may wish to let them sit out just a bit to semi-thaw.

I used frozen blueberries, I just let them thaw out some before I used them. I only had two cups of blueberries, so I added three cups of mixed berries ( a Marion berry, raspberry and blueberry mix) and it tastes so good! I took 1/2 cupful as my sample.
I also sprinkled some chopped up pecans around the edge of the pie for decoration, later when the pie sets I plan to garnish it with some Marion berries. I'm originally from Oregon, we call blackberries Marion berries there. I took a picture of my pie, I plan to post it tomorrow, after work. It's so pretty.

I made it tonight for my mom's birthday "cake" and everyone thought it was yummy! I didn't have enough time for it to set the 3hrs. or more. It was more like 2.5 hrs. However, it was still very good. I didn't have almonds, so I used mostly cashews and a tiny bit of sunflower seeds (ran out of cashews!) We just scooped it out and ate it. My three sons couldn't get enough of it. :D

It is very good! To me it reminded me of cobbler, because it was easier to scoop it out of the pie pan, than slice. Sweet and tart fruity goodness with the crunch of the nutty crust. Yum!
