I make this shake every morning. It has a fresh taste and a beautiful colour. I call it a skin tonic as each of the ingredients contains nourishing substances for our body's largest organ.

Cucumber - good source of silica - moisturizing and revitalizing.
Pineapple - bromelain (pineapple enzyme) - anti inflammatory.
Aloe Vera - mucopolysaccharides - soothing and moisturizing.

Ingredients:
1 pineapple
2 cucumbers
5 Aloe Vera leaves

Directions:
1. De-skin pineapple and cut out core.
2. Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Enjoy!

Mmmm! Sounds good. I should try this. How do you eat the aloe? Put the gel into the smoothie?

Trinity: I just rinse the leaves in water and then toss them whole in the blender. They are so good, I have started using them in salads as well! :)

Do you grow your own aloe? That's a lot of leaves to use every morning!

VeggieMel: I buy Aloe Vera Plants. They are inexpensive and one plant lasts me about a week and a half. :)

I just bought an aloe leaf and its gigantic haha. Do you cut off the thorny side things?
