I would like to make some flax crackers I think, I am new to all this and my christmas present is going to be a blender(only an oster, at this point), so getting a dehydrator is waaaaaaaaaayy down the road and I was wondering if you could do this with the oven on warm????
They sound easy and I would like something crackerish to go with the raw soup I hope to make in the blender.
If it would not work to make them this way- if ovens are just too hot or something, is there any raw bread or cracker brands I might be able to buy?

thanks,
Talley

Some people do dehydrating in their oven and to keep the temperture below 118 they just keep the oven door cracked open. You might want to experiment with this by buying a temperature guage and seeing for yourself how low your oven will go.

And yes I buy flax seed crackers at the Good Foods Store. They are by Foods Alive and are raw and come in many different flavors. I like the Italian ones. You can also order them online at Foodsalive.com

Thanks Morn, I will see if I can find those and probably play around a bit with the oven too.
Thanks for your inspiring website too;)

Yep.... what MORN said!! I haven't done it myself - but I've read where people turn their oven on the lowest setting and prop the door open!

let us know how they turn out!!

rawk on!
