hmmm... dunno about psyllium seeds - but the husks can be mixed into juices or water. this will help you clean out your colon - doesn't give you the runs or anything - it just sortve swells into a kinda gelatinous mass and passes very gently thru your colon ... sweeping a lot of gunk out with it. You REALLY Need to drink A LOT of water or liquid if you're going to be taking psyllium, or it might causes some constipation.

I've known it to be prescribed by holistic dr.'s for those healing from colon cancer - its so gentle and cleansing.

I like to use psyllium in recipes. Makes raw cakes hold together, makes wraps more sturdy, and doesn't affect the flavor of the foods.

I bought some in capsules to help with my digestion. It took about two days to get things moving. I might try adding some husks into my food to keep things regular because I hate taking pills.
