I'm really getting into experimenting in the kitchen with new raw food recipes. But my imaginations is running dry. If you had the chance, what raw food recipe would you like to see developed? :)

I would love to have a recipe for wasabi peas. My brother who has just gone to Afghanistan for a year (he's in the 82nd Airborne) loves them. All the packaged wps have sugar (as well as not being raw, but he's on a SAD diet anyway). Is there a way to dehydrate them? Thanks, Lori

I haven't seen an angel food cake, but Serene Allison has a recipe for Valentine's Mousse Pie that is the closest thing to cool whip I have ever tasted. It's divine! I've tried a lot of recipes that say "mousse" or "whipped topping" and they were all yucky, but hers is great! It's in the Rejuvenate Your Life cookbook, if someone else has time to post it.

Is there a way to make these in a raw fashion?? I absolutely adore them and would love to know! :p

I looked at the ingredients on a package, which seemed to be a bit of sweetener, some oil, salt, and wasabi. So I coated some fresh peas with oil, a bit of honey, wasabi, salt, and then dehydrated them. Not so good. They came out like hard little shiveled rocks instead of puffy, crunchy little nuggets. Maybe the regular kind are cooked at high temps or even fried.
So that was my attempt. Maybe others have fared better. Or, maybe another veggie would fare better. Perhaps wasabi sweet potato slices?

Asil and cbritton - I did a bit of research on wasabi peas since that was my request as well. Somehow, the "inner meat" of the pea is hollowed out after drying the peas but before the peas are coated with wasabi. The hollowing is what makes the peas light and crunchy.

Is Tandori Spice raw? If so, how about coating chopped cauliflower in Tandori spices for an Indian side dish (like rice). I bet if you mixed some chopped tomato with the juices, mashed avocado and tandori spice it would be yummy!!!
Make some raw hummus and flax seed crackers to go along!

The spinach dip w/ curry is very similar to Saag. I cut up chunks of Jicama to be like Paneer chunks... It's actually better than some Saag Paneer I've had in restaurants. (And it's super easy!!!)
Hope this helps

Now there's an idea. I'd maybe substitute chopped parsnips bc I'm not a huge fan of cauliflower.
I tried the curry spinach dip back when I first went raw. Loved it the first time I made it, was underwhelmed the second time. But that was when I was going through a period when my tastebuds were wildly fickle (guess they were adjusting) so I might try it again.

You know, I really tried hard to think of something I missed that I couldn't get satisfied well enough with raw - and I had a really hard time coming up with something. I guess, when it's all said and done, I miss tater-tots.
Great question - really thought provoking.

RAW marzipan?
Another vote for Indian cuisine!
How about some kind of a raw 'sausage roll' with a nut-cutlet style innard?

Real-tasting pasta. It's fun to make zucchini pasta but it just doesnt give me that yummy full feeling. As an Italian I live on pasta and it's the one thing that keeps me from being 100% raw. If someone invented a sprouted grain dehydrated raw pasta I'd worship them forever...

Marcipan would really be nice! But it is really just the sucker which needs to be replaced, is it not? It would be so neat for christmas too!
