I wanted to give an update that I have been hospitalized since Thursday with a pneumonia, an infectious Disease that they are not sure what it is and a discovery of a large object in my right underarm area. I had surgery earlier today to remove the object and will get more info tomorrow, hopefully.

See complete experience at my blog which I will post shortly.

How do I convince stubborn family and co-workers? Reply at my blog please.

Hi Tito! I tried to post this in your blog, but it was too many characters long...even after shortening it as much as possible and still get the point across...so I'm posting it here; hope that's okay!

Wow...I wish you a speedy recovery and sorry you went through such an ordeal...I know that had to be scary!!

As for convincing loved ones and co-workers, the thing is, you can't. You can only be an example to them but they have to WANT it..if they don't, it's pretty much futile. I was talking with a gentleman a couple of weeks ago who was mentioning a married couple he knows. They are extremely overweight, extremely out of breath from doing very light things and their health is declining. He tried to talk to them...tell them he'd set up a regimen for them for diet and exercise and the wife says to him..."Brother, have you ever come across people who just don't WANT to change...who just don't care?"

So basically she was telling him that she and her husband are just fine...they accept where they are and do not want to change.

Most people are like that. I have aunts and grandparents who are diabetic...one aunt had to have her leg amputated but do you think that was enough to cause change? Nope!

So, all you can do is, again, be an example and if you pray, PRAY for them...that's about the extent of it unfortunately.

Please feel better soon!

I agree with Rawkinlocs, your family will have to want it, there is nothing you can do until then. I hope your get better soon Tito!!
