Hello everyone i am new to Raw and have just a few questions that maybe somebody could help me with.
1. I am currently nursing my 4 month old baby and would like to know what would be the ideal food consumption? In terms of green smoothies and meals.
2. Is it ok to detox even just a little? Will my baby have problems nursing if I am detoxing, meaning we are both currently suffering with dry scalp and skin do you think that this is the reason.
3. How many green smoothies can I consume in a day?Is 1 enough??
Would really like her to be a raw baby but dont want her to suffer.
Thanks would really appreciate some feedback!
Sorry if these questions have been answered already have been trying to find some answers with other threads!!

Gosh - wish I could offer you some help -- I would think as many green smoothies you can drink in a day would be fine -- BUT... since you're nursing - I'm not sure that's the case!

maybe post this in the raising raw kids section. You could always do a banana search for raw and nursing and read some of the previous threads here on rft!

Or you might check out the http://www.thegardendiet.com/ this is Storm and Jinjee's site - she's had MANY babies -- all raw and beautiful pregnancies... you might be able to find out some information there.

good luck! :D

it is not a good idea to detox while you are nursing... the toxins go into your milk... and therefore into your baby :(

so i would take it very slow and very cautious, because you don't want (your age in years) of toxins going into a 4 month old!

I'd say that you are always detoxing - as that is the body's job. To some extent, no matter what you eat, you will be detoxing.
So you might as well eat really beneficial foods whilst you are detoxing, like a lot of fruit and green veggies. The milk production won't be affected that much if you keep up a good balance of nutrients.
The body is very clever - you will have the detox symptoms (if any) and the baby will be fine.
Depending on what and how much you eat, it is doubtful that you will detox to such an extent that you could harm your baby.
