I have been raw for two weeks now and it seems I've been getting more sleep than usual.
I was expecting that I would need less sleep.
what's up with that?

I am still somewhat new to raw (since Aug 2nd), but I have been sleeping more as well. But for me, it is a blessing, because my sleep has been screwed up for years. (side note: there was a recent news story about cancer in night shift people, and my sleep problems came after I had worked nights for awhile.)
So some nights I sleep more, but even when I sleep the same as before, or less ( ) I FEEL more rested than before! And my energy has definitely increased big time. (Although I can't say I have gone on a housecleaning binge like some folks here have said--though I need to!!;)
But like I always say, "It's all good!" And maybe your bodies need the sleep?! Just go with the flow and don't worry.

Your body is probably detoxing. Just listen to it. Don't compare with what others are experiencing. YOU are unique. Rest when you need to. Play hard when you need to.

You heal when you sleep so allow your body to do what it needs to do. Eating raw is the best thing we can for ourselves!! Go us!!

Yup - I agree with everything that's been said - we are each a bit different in what our bodies need, or how they cope with changes and how they heal. I've been raw for a bit over 2 months and I've found that I vacillate between needing lots of sleep and not sleeping too long at all - I just figure my body is cleaning house and sometimes needs rest to do that.

I have been sleeping 2 hours less per night than before raw, and feel very rested. However, on the evenings I have desserts with nuts / honey / cocao I need more sleep and don't feel as rested.
Are you eating heavy in the evening or too close to bed?
Just thoughts.
