I didnt know what this was so I bought one at the store. After looking it up it appears to be grapefruit like. I also read that the skin can be dried to a "candy confection". Has anyone done this? Is it good

We Thai's dig pumello. It is a grapefruit family member but as you saw..as big as your head!

I find they are sweeter than grapefruits and easier to supreme (get the membrane/peels off) I chill and eat with a little agave or blitz in the blender to make a chunky citrus drink.

Ususally to make a confection of the skin, it involves boiling....

Thank you Apasaraw!!!

I've been seeing them and never thought to come here and ask about them. Thank you for the answer and Solong for the question. :)

Yeah, pummelos are odd little "fellows". The skin is sooooo thick, one usually ends up with a grapefruit like fruit that's so small in comparison to the skin it's almost silly! I don't usually buy them because I feel so much is wasted. Plus I haven't run across any organic ones. I always try odd fruits. They are fun!
I guess that's because my friends are odd fruits. Isn't that right Revvell?
