Kale Stem

Does anyone use the stem from the kale leaves in their cracker recipes? I didn't know if it would be bitter. It just seems like a lot of waste. There must be something I could do with it other than composting. Anyone?

You could keep a little bowl in your fridge for scraps like that and use them to make juice.

I throw them into my green smoothies or if I eat kale salad I just cut it up like celery
