Coconut Oil - YUCKKKKKKKKK!!

I doooooooooo not like the flavor of this and I cant stand how no matter how little you use it takes over the flavor of whatever you make. Is there any good replacement for this??

Really? I didn't realize it had a flavour :) I personally don't like the texture. I have no idea what you could use to replace it.

realllllllly :eek: ??? gosh I loooove coconut oil! maybe if you only use the tiniest bit... little by little... until you can build up to tolerating it... ?? well... a replacement... hmmm.. what about olive oil? or sunflower oil? Oh... you know what would be fabulous... macadamia nut oil... it's expensive (at least here in Hawaii) which is stuipid cuz we have mac nuts growing wild everwhere!.... but I think that would make a wonderful replacement in recipes! :D

nooo! It's soooo good! I don't want you to miss out! It varies greatly by brand, which may be why you do not like it. Which do you have?

I'm glad I finally found someone who also doesn't like it.......I was starting to think I was the only person! The first time I had it I almost had to run to the bathroom it was so bad. Unfortunately I haven't found a replacement yet so I guess I'm not much help. But you're definitely not the only one!

If its not cold pressed virgin coconut oil it might taste a bit funny...but if you can't stand it, and you need another solid oil, you could try cacao butter. Can't imagine anyone not liking that, super expensive though.
