i am so glad i found a place to share info. i have tried other eating methods but the universe keeps bringing me back to raw. so i have to listen. where i need help is figuring out how much to eat. (caloric intake) i am returning to fitness competition this next season (fitness not body building, we lean out and cut up not bulk) not only do i need to fuel the muscles but loose about 15lbs of fat since i last competed.
they teach you protien protien protien  but i feel awful and we all know why that is.... (ooooh my intestines) any recipie for a live protien shake? i love fruit but the sugar content? 6 small meals a day? where do i buy sprouted bread ezekial? (pardon the spelling)
i honestly need a full detox. i am so addicted to caffeen that if i don't have it i can not function...... yes i am a junkie what is the best way to detox without freaking out mentaly and physically? i know i ask a lot of questions but i am serious about changing my life, health and body.
thanks a bunch,
heather

Hi Heather and welcome,

If you go up to the banana and click on it a lil search box will come up. Type in the words you wish to do a search on such as "protein shake", "calorie intake", "caffeine", etc. There are so MANY threads on the same questions you are requesting it boggles the mind ~ so! Enjoy! :)

For me, this is not a "diet" per se ~ it is a lifestyle. What I and many have found is IF one eats raw ~ especially if willing to go 100% ~ they tend to lose the urge for drugs such as caffeine, alchohol and nicotine ~ without a struggle.

As far as a full detox, although many here do do specific detoxes, many others have found that, eating raw detoxes the body naturally and folk come to their optimum weight without counting calories, carbs, fats, etc. It is THE easiest and most natural way to eat.

Enjoy our food!

You said, you were concerned about calorie intake. I am guessing your fats, carbs and protein as well. I use www.fitday.com. I love this place; I think most people use it. I find that I have absolutely no problem with protein intake. In fact I found out that I eat way more protein than I need. I try to keep it under 20% for protein and under 20% for fat. I have difficulty with this. I can easy get 50% protein (I drink a lot of wheat grass which is very high in protein and low in fat(this is powerful for detox so start out with very little and work up or you will get really sick)). So I have to really watch my nut intake (which really increases my fat%).
Hope this helps

thanks for all the great advice i am slowly detoxing myself from the caffeen since i have to work and be "sharp" all the time while talking to patients. i am decreacing my caffeen intake little by little untill i need none and when i do i am trying to use green tea in place of soda.... (yes i know diet pepsi is bad for me please don't chastise me too much :( ) right now i am feeling a bit lathargic and i know this will pass and i will feel much better once this is over. i am a bit moody at times and i just try to relax and let it pass. other than that i am eating mostly raw :) ovacados, mangos, salads, although i throw in a protien bar here and there. i am planning to pick up some raw ones. hey! any good recipie for a green drink. i have a raw green powder that i would like to do somthing with any ideas?
