I loove to bake too! In fact -- I promise you... my baked apple pies are the absolute BEST IN THE WORLD!!! :D and my peach cobbler kicks boo~tay!!! infact - I loved to bake soo much - dh actually asked me to stop baking so much b/c he was gaining so much weight! but since I've gone raw - and I began to make RAWMACIOUS goodies...

dh gobbles them up - loves the taste and feels healthy (plus he gets to eat as much as he wants!!) I loove the adventure of un~baking fabulous goodies now!!! its soo much fun http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s43/FireStar_830/bigthumbup.gif

as far as cooking for your family... make sure that you have something yummy for you to eat too so you can still sit down with your family and enjoy a family dinner. Personally - I like to make sure that whatever I am going to eat is beautiful - filled with vibrant colors and taste explosions! then I really enjoy what I'm eating ... and I don't feel like I'm 'missing out' ! And very often, my food looks so great - they want to try my food!!! (hehehehehe... and occasionally ... raw ice cream for dinner really peaks the curiosity of kids...."why does mom get to eat ice cream for dinner??" .... cuz its a raw food and it's healthy!!)

I totally agree with Starfire -- I am exactly the same way -- love to cook and stirfry/marinate things -- now I can do it without cooking and it tastes great! Work with what you have, and see how you can add some raw goodness to it, either in the way of smoothies, or extra veggies.

Then maybe set a personal goal that you can hold yourself to while still feeding positive healthy foods to your family.

Baby steps are okay, but you gotta LIFT A FOOT to do it :)
