Hello everyone! This is the first post I've ever done so I hope I do this right! Anyway, I've been fiddling around with a raw diet for three years. I started again in January, quit in February and started up again in March. I've been going fairly strong since then...not 100% raw, but maybe between 40-100% depending on the day and what's prepared in the fridge. It seems that eating things with the least prep time works best for me. I always make sure something is sprouting and I have fruit, lettuce, avocado and a dark leafy green on hand. What seems to be happening, in addition to cleansing, is that now, when I eat something cooked, my stomach reactes violently. It burns for hours afterwards. It's to the point that I'm forced to choose raw foods or pay for it later. I'm a compulsive eater and it's possible that my stomach is healing from all the years of abuse. The other thing I'm noticing is the great high I feel after eating. I have a buzzing energy throughout my body and I feel alive and wonderful. Any input/advice would be welcome. :)

Hi Kristi,

Nice to meet you! Are you going to do the 30 day raw challenge? It would be interesting to see, how you feel after being a while on 100% raw! :)

;) Hey, my name is Holly and I'm an octo dairy vegetarian. This raw food diet is wonderful...but also difficult. I love not eating any meat but giving up my fave dressings and croutons and things is a killer for me. Do you have some advice for me?

I don't think I can commit to a 30-day challenge. I fail every time I commit to a stringent diet, maybe because I'm a compulsive eater. I seem to be having more success with treating myself gently, with understanding and forgiveness when I eat cooked food while gently recommitting to eating raw. It probably sounds like it won't work, but it seems to be working. I've been eating raw on a consistent basis. Even though I'm not 100% every day, I'm at least 40% every day and noticing the stomach pains when I eat cooked. I guess that's how I'd respond to fashionfan80 as well. Different things work for different people. 30 day challenge probably works for a lot of people. Maybe the most important thing for us all to learn is to listen and honor that inner voice within each of us that tells us what to do next and remember we are loved and blessed through it all! ;)
