My family has been using JR Liggetts shampoo bar for a couple years now. It is the most amazing stuff we have ever used for our hair! Highly recommended! Anyway, I do have a bit of a problem with it though... it causes the worst rings in the bath tub. Probably from the oils...? Anyway, cleaning it is a horrible job. Yes, even worse than cleaning a normal tub. ;) Does anyone else have this problem? How do you clean it? Or does anyone know a natural cleaner that would cut through the caked on oils? Thanks in advance for helping me save my back and my sanity...

Fill up your tub to where the ring is and add a bunch of lemon peels and leave overnight. (As I juice lemons I place the spent halves in the fridge in a ziplock until I have enough to use) Use 6-8 halves. PS. This works great!
We had a really persistant ring so we left in on for about a day and one half and now it's GONE! Good luck!

Thanks, Beppa, for the great tip! I have been trying to figure out a better way to clean out the tub! :)

I don't have a problem with the ring.....but I can't use anything else in my hair besides JR Liggetts..best shampoo ever. I never use mousse, gel or hairspray anymore and my hair has never felt so healthy....and tons of volume. Got my sister hooked on it too and now she can't use anything else either.

ljcoolj,
How do you use the jr's and what type of hair do you have? I have tried this bar on and off. It makes my hair really full of volume, but at the same time, it makes my hair feel greasy on the ends. I've tried rinsing really good, etc. I usually rub the bar on my head because I can't get enough lather on my hands because I have thick, long fine hair. I really want it to work, but I can't stand the feel! Did you ever have this problem? I went to their website, and it said something about taking a week to adjust. I've already been a week and I am about to give up! Thanks for any advice!

I know what you're talking about. It takes time to get used to, I'd say longer than a week. We're just so used to having our hair stripped of natural oils that it seems 'abnormal' when we quit stripping it. I have thick, fine, shoulder length hair...every now and then...I'll wash my hair with Nature's Gate Herbal Shampoo but I'm even getting away from that though. I would say with the LIggetts, that if you naturally have an oily scalp, it may be a bit of a problem.

a baking soda and water paste should take that right off! I love baking soda for cleaning!
(I also use a baking soda paste to wash my hair....with an apple cider vinegar rinse!)
