Ok. So I don't know if this legal or not but I decided that it would be a good for me to a keep a record of my transition. And I figured what better place than here.

I guess the idea is keep track of what foods I am eating day to day to get a sense of how I am progressing. I would also like to describe different, thoughts, emotions and realizations I am having.

Here goes. Yesterday I made my first real shopping trip to Whole Foods since I have been in NYC. I mainly spent my time in the produce section, after having to ask for directions down on how to get downstairs. The city is crazy I tell you!!

I buy organic whenever possible and picked up some bannana's, avocados(everyone was hard but they are softening...), some ugly ripe heirloom tomatoes which are amazing with a little salt and pepper, a couple dressing in jar(only to realize once I got home, that any dressing in a jar isn't raw....I'm new at this), a couple Spoutman seed trays and a few new flavors of Raw Revolution food bars which I love and carry with me throughout the day.

When I came back home I ate an heirloom and than later had a couple plates of sprouts with a bit of dressing. The second sprout plate I tossed some hemp seeds on. I then thought to myself, never ever did I imagine that I would be eating sprouts with hemp seeds...lol.

Ok all for now.

Ok. So this is serving as my blog for now.

What did I eat today? I started with a Raw Revolution bar and a bananna (I tried spelling bannana the right way 5 times and gave up, thank for reminding me I can't spell Mozilla). I love these Raw Revolution bars and plan to carry like 20 with me when I venture to my company's offsite sales training site December 10-12 in Foxwoods. I would like to wake up a few minutes earlier tomorrow so that I can make my breakfast smoothie. One banana( I got it!!), a handful of blueberries, a few strawberries, a few tbsps of hemp seeds and flax powder, a small amount of flax oil and water.

I have a health food store right next to work and live one block away from work, so I frequent them often. Sometimes 3-4 times a day. I have become their number 1 customer. Anyway, they make me a special salad b/c I don't like onion(I'll try to learn but it may never happen) and they call it #1 salad.

I pretty much eat this for lunch every day along with a couple tbps of hemp seeds. Later in the day I had another Raw Revolution bar and an apple.

After work I decided to talk a walk down to Pure Food and Take Out, as I found they had this special face wash I wanted to try out. I picked up some raw crackers(which are pretty good, but I don't love yet) and a walnut brownie. On the walk home I stopped at frontier market on 22nd and 3rd I think for the first time. Today was a day of firsts. Maybe that is why I feel so alive as well. Everything is new, different, and alive. On the walk back from the store, I was thinking that I haven't felt this great in years. I'm 26 and I probably haven't felt this happy since I was 16. Anyway.

I got Sarma's book in the mail along with the saldacco salad slicer from Amazon. I watched Alissa's dvd the other day and ever since I have wanted to make that zucchni pasta. I picked up a couple of yellow and green squashes, a couple of tomatoes, a few dates, then I found some raw caco creme cookies that I squeezed and were moist and decided I need to those too. Oh and I spotted some Goji berries and decided to give them another try. I used to drink the juice which is far from pure and full of preseratives. The berries tasted like dry wood to me at the time but I have a feeling that I will have a new appreciation for them now. Oh and I got a ripe avocado b/c my whole foods ones aren't ready yet.

Ok..I am off to have that avocado with a drizzle of macadamia nut oil(thanks Sarma for the recommendation, this oil is amazing!!) with a pinch of salt along with a cutup heirloom. Never, ever did I think I would craze these foods the way I used to craze pizza, or fries or icream.

Then its off to attempt my pasta dish. Good thing I have the dvd and the book.
