I just got a new deyhdrator Nesco brand from wal-mart because of the temperature control:) my old one Mr. Coffee brand was a pain, i had to keep monitoring the temp. the food would turn out dry or hard as a brick lol lol.
So i packed it away and said i would get a new one when i find a good deal on $$$. Now i am ready to start this Nesco baby up and get to work.
What would you suggest as a raw dish i should try first to experiment, and get the feel of my new machine?

Somewhere out on this site is a recipe for Amazing Italian Meatballs - raw version, of course. And these are good!

How about flax crackers, or anything really!! :) It's not an exact science at all, just leave it in there a little longer if you want it crispier!
Making granola is simple, too. I guess it depends on what you're in the mood for! :)

and remember to put the stuff on parchment paper if you don't have any trays! ;)

Is this part of the Nesco Cooker Family? Like the Turkey Roaster. I understand it is a Dehydrater, I am just wondering if they have ventured into other things or maybe they have always done this and I am the Last to know.
Thanks for Sharing and have a RAW Day.

Yes, I believe it is the same Nesco as the roasters. I bought the Nesco dehydrator about two years ago, so I am guessing they have been around for a little while, I don't know? Anyway, mine was like 40 bucks, but you really go get what you pay for, I think. When I can afford to, I will upgrade.

Yes, it is the same brand as the roasters:) . It was a great deal for being temperature controlled:eek: I would suggest this model for newbies as a start and they can upgrade to another in the future if they wish.
I just have been hearing so much positive feedback on the Nesco that i could not pass the $$$ and its advantages by:)
