View Full Version : Weight bearing exercise for bones

I just received news that I am now osteopenic. I'm considering finding a weight training class (free weights), and/or a Karate class to increase impact to my bones. I do some free weights at home already, along with yoga, some strength work which includes crunches, push-ups, tricep dips, etc.
'Any recommendations? :confused: :confused:

Kettlebells and Indian Club training. Got to YouTube.com and search them. More fun than free weights.

Light jogging on a soft surface would be great. Trail, sand, grass etc. Slowly build up to harder surfaces but take your time and progress slowly. What about activities such as dancing, or aerobics? Make sure you get alot of greens in your diet!
