I'm going to get Alissa's book and I've read that many people recommend the DVD too.
What is special about the DVD?
Is it good to have just to follow the instructions?
Does she show you how to do things like sprouting?
Your feedback is appreciated! :D

What I found was that the DVD helped me REALLY understand how easy it is to uncook. Recipies can be daunting and it helps to see them being made. Alissa is a great motivator and really fun to watch!

yeah i think the DVDs are great motivation, and its always neat to see alissa in action uncooking the recipies in the book. I got the book first, and just recently ordered the DVDs. It made me want to go back and try some of the recipies on the DVD because the looked so good! :)

It is literally like having a one one session with Alissa.
With you sitting at the counter chatting about the whole thing whilst she is preparing TONNES of food. It is very different than all other "cooking shows", a completely different approach. And it's THREE HOURS!!!! It's what you might expect from a personal consultaion, vs watching Rachel Ray!

It is nice to see the DVD especially if you are new to the raw foods lifestyle. The people watching her uncook ask questions about the lifestyle and she answers them. i.e. common questions you might have yourself. I watched it when I first got it, however, I haven't referred back to it since (unlike the book that you will use all of the time). I think it might be nice to watch it again sometime so I wouldn't get rid of it. Plus it might be a nice thing to lend out to a friend that is interested in the lifestyle. I guess if you are short on cash the book is a definate and the DVD is a nice bonus (if you can afford it). Maybe you can squeeze it out of someone as a Christmas gift. Just an idea.

Absolutely don't miss out on getting the DVD....it's inspiring and really shows you how easy you can whip something up. For me actually seeing Alissa put recipes together helped and of course I think there's alot of great books out there but Alissa's is the best....it has more information, recipes, etc and is very clear and easy to follow. She just has a good way of putting things but to answer your question about the DVD, I sure haven't regretted getting it and it's a great way to introduce friends and family to raw foods if they have an interest.
