Anyone know the difference between coconut butter and coconut oil?

same exact thing, RFRW refers to it as butter, because it's solid at room temperature. As long as it's cold-pressed extra virgin, it's raw :)

I seem to remember reading that coconut oil is the pure oil (although solid at room temp) and coconut butter is the oil blended with the meat... I could be wrong though, and I've seen it referred to as coconut oil-butter so who knows!

you're right, subbacultcha... just found this link:

Interesting, of course the people at the health food store wouldn't know.. they're the ones that told me!! Now, I'm going to have to try all of sarma's recipes the RIGHT way.... with the butter instead. (although i can't imagine them being better than they already are!!)

Lady Green Jeans - when do use the coconut oil and when do you use the butter? I was not sure what to use each one for (I did order both from Alissa's store and am waiting for them to arrive).
