Hey Guys,
I have been transitioning to an organic whole foods plant based diet for the past couple years. Reading 'Fast Food Nation' really started me on this path.
Since that time, reading work by John Robbins caused me to give up dairy and recently 'The China Study' cemented the deal for me and I decided to become totally vegan after being very close for a couple of years.
Since that time, I have discovered raw foods and I am so excited. This feels like what I have been searching for. After eating maybe 90% raw for the past couple of weeks, I have gone 100% for the past few days and I feel great.
I am having a big paradigm shift recently. For example, when I first read 'Fast Food Nation' I was like, ok, I am giving up fast food, all forms of meat and any farmed fish. I was kind of eliminating things from my diet and searching for things to replace them.
Since finding raw food, I have replaced my mindset of what I have to eliminate with a mindset of being totally excited to try new fruits, vegetables and raw food dishes. I love the culture and spirit of this movement. Socially, for health, and for for the environment.
Ok. That about sums about my intro. Oh and btw I am 26, live in NYC and I am single. Walks in the park, yoga, and raw food dates are acceptable.
