I am dehdrator crazy since I just got mine at home. This thread is not about gourmet recipes per se, but single food items. I want to know...

1. what was the fruit/vegetable you dehydrator as for experimentation that you though would taste weird, but actually taste good?

2. What is the thing you should not dehdyrate, because it became a culinary nightmare? (taste bad, hard to chew, etc)

3. What shouldn't you do with your dehdrator and/or the parchment paper?

I am just trying to get some ideas besides dehdyrating apple and banana slices.

Portabello Mushrooms marinated and or stuffed are to die for!

Veggies marinated see the " chicken receipe the veggies in the sauce are amazing!

I love to make crackers and breads too

Broccoli yuk yuk in the dehydrator

3. What shouldn't you do with your dehdrator and/or the parchment paper?

This is easy when you remove a tray dont leave it on top of something hot. I ruined 1 this way:eek:
